Looking Good: Immunoassays for Blood Markers

For years, scientists have been working toward blood tests for Alzheimer’s disease that could be used routinely in clinical practice. Now, they are on the cusp. At this year’s ADPD conference, held April 1-5 in Vienna, researchers reported that immunoassays for plasma p-tau217 perform as well as FDA-approved tests requiring cerebrospinal fluid.
